Cryolipolysis (Fat Freezing)

Cryo Lipomis a new proven non surgical treatment to remove unwanted body fat, offering a painless and safe alternative to surgical liposuction. It remodels your body shape by cooling fat cell, this cooling process causes the fat cells to go into programmed cell death (commit suicide) and destroys them. The destroyed cells dissolve and are removed permanently by the body naturally over a period of 6-12 weeks. Cryolipolysis cooling heads create a vacuum immobilising the fat tissue and isolating the treatment area from surrounding tissue.  Low temperature is then applied to the area in a controlled heat extraction process. The process is safe and no damage is caused to the skin or other surrounding tissues. Only the subcutaneous fat cells (which are very sensitive to low temperatures) are destroyed in the treatment. No anaesthesia is required. After your Cryolip treatment you can immediately resume your day to day activities with no downtime

Does Cryolipolysis work well for everyone?

It can be used on all skin types and ages. However, Cryolipolysis works best for someone who is in relatively good shape with modest areas of fat bulges (for example a muffin top). You will typically need 2-3 sessions to obtain similar results to conventional surgical liposuction. Cryolipolysis is not a cure for obesity.

What areas are most commonly treated with Cryolipo?

It works best for people who have isolated pockets of stubborn fat around the lower abdomen, the flanks, love handles, saddle bags, bra bulges, back fat or flabby knees.

How long does each treatment take?

Each treatment takes approximately 45 minutes.

How many sessions are needed?

2-4 sessions maybe required depending on the treatment area. The treatments can be administered a minimum 6 weeks apart.

Is Cryolipo safe?

Because of its non invasive nature the treatment has fewer risks than other procedures such as liposuction. It’s considered safe for most clients, although there are certain risks associated with any kind of treatment. You may experience redness, tingling, tenderness, bruising and reduced sensation in the treated area. These side affects are normal and usually go away on there own. Extensive testing confirms the cooling only damages fat cells. Other tissues are not affected.
