How long do the effects of Restylane treatment last?

The long effects of Restylane are long-lasting but not permanent. Restylane is biodegradable so it will gradually disappear from the body over time. Restylane treatments can last up to 12 months, but this period may vary, depending on the individual, the amount used, and the area being treated. After your initial treatment, follow up sessions are usually recommended to maintain results.

Should I avoid anything after treatment?

It's best to avoid exposing the treated area to extreme heat (e.g. sunbathing, saunas, or steam baths) until any signs of inflammation have disappeared.

Are there any treatment side effects?

The most common post-treatment reactions are skin redness, swelling, itching, bruising, or pain and tenderness at the treatment site. These reactions usually disappear shortly after each injection, within 2 weeks. There are also rare side effects, which you should be aware of and discuss with your treating practitioner prior to treatment.
