How many treatments will I need?
A course of 6 treatments is recommended one week apart, followed by a monthly maintenance. Deeper skin problems such as acne scarring, wrinkles, pigmentation, a course of 10 treatments is recommended.

Pre & Post Treatment Advice
- No Alpha Hydroxy Acids or Glycolic products for 7 days
- No Retinol products for 7 days
- No botox for 14 days
- No dermal fillers for 28 days

What is the Post Treatment After Care?
- Avoid all heat treatments for 48 hours
- Avoid UV exposure for 48 hours
- No sun beds throughout the course
- Avoid exercise and swimming for 24 hours
- No laser/IPL for 14 days
- No facial waxing/threading for 3 days
- Avoid touching and itching the area for 24 hours
- Avoid Make up for 12 hours (mineral make is ok)
- Avoid fake tan 2-3 days post treatment
- Use SPF at all times
How the skin may react and what possible side effects to expect
Redness, bruising, mild burning, stinging sensation, dry or flaky skin – this is all normal and will subside within 72 hours
What are the microdermabrasion crystals made from?
The abrasive material used is also known as Corundum, (a naturally occurring mineral). Ruby and sapphires are composed of Corundum. The crystals are irregular in shape and extremely hard. They are an inert material with excellent abrasive qualities making them perfect for the purpose of exfoliation.
Material data sheets for aluminium oxide indicate the material is inert and non-toxic with no adverse skin contact reactions.
However, Crystal Clear recommend a skin allergy test prior to treatment.
