Are the injectables painful?

JUVÉDERM® fillers have a substance called anaesthetic lidocaine that reduces discomfort during the treatment process. Dr Michael Szypulski here at M & M Aesthetics can also apply a topical numbing cream (lidocaine) to the injection sites.

When can I see results?

You should be able to see results shortly after the treatment and be able to return to your normal daily activities depending on the treatment.

What are the side effects?

You may notice the following temporary side effects around the injection site:
● Redness
● Swelling
● Itching
● Pain
● Tingling/numbness
● Firmness/bumps
● Bruising
● Discolouration

There is always the risk of infection with any injection. Lip injections may result in more swelling and bruising. Reactions could occur right away or could take up to a week to present. However, if any of these side effects last longer than a week, contact us as soon as possible.
